I was… born and raised in Mumbai, India, although I’ve spent a few years in England and now find myself settled in Canada. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to many parts of the world including parts of Europe and the Middle East and it’s been a truly enriching experience. Exposure to varied cultural influences teaches you a tremendous amount about others and more importantly, about yourself. I am… a journalist and have worked as a Features Writer with the world’s second largest-selling English newspaper "The Times of India." The experience has left a lasting impression and taught me the finer nuances of writing and publishing. Being involved with both formats of print - magazine and broadsheet - has allowed me to appreciate and deliver the exact requirements of the target audience. Prior experiences with content writing have taught me how to be precise and specific when it comes to writing for the online medium. I aspire… to work in a full-time position as a features writer while freelancing with various newspapers and magazines. I continue to write and edit copy for various online portals as well as advertising projects. I also write for business brochures, hand-outs and other media including press releases. |
